World of Color

Carol Whitaker’s abstract paintings are a unique expression of her ideas, experiences, and visual curiosity. Carol uses a variety of unorthodox tools, including sticks, spatulas, and sponges to build her paintings layer by layer, meaning that the beginning does not always suggest the end. Heavily influenced by color, Carol paints with emotion and hopes to inspire an emotional response. In World of Color Carol attempts to uncover colorful shapes in grid-like compositions.
