David was raised in the Yakima Valley on an apple orchard. Relocated to the Seattle area in 1981. David finds the abstract as appealing as landscape painting. David has included wearable art in his creative process. Schools include Cornish College Of Art, University of Puget Sound and Western Washington University. Over the years he’s held positions at Seward Park Art Studio, Cornish Art College, completed internships in Santa Cruz, and Key West, Santa Barbara City College Ceramics. Painting, sculpture and mix media have held his interest for many years. David apprenticed to Donald Foster of the Foster White Gallery from 1989-1993. Operated Odin Perth Altar Of Art in The Broadway Market on Capitol Hill in the 90’s. Featuring Pride themed art, including his wearable collection worn by thousands of happy collectors over the years. Currently his art studio “David Johansson Studio” is located in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, in The Fogue Gallery

Barrels is a Mercer Island gem located in Town Center just off I-90. We are both a bottle shop with over 1000 bottles and a wine bar featuring New World and Old World wines.
