Art is my avocation. I have been painting most of my life and am experienced in almost every medium—from watercolor, pastel, acrylic, and my latest , oil and cold wax.

My recent works are an exploration of texture, weight, and the physical presence of time. Working primarily with oil and cold wax medium (CWO), I build surfaces through an intuitive process of accumulation and reduction. Some of my paintings have up to 10 layers of paint. The dense, matte quality of the wax allows me to scratch, scrape, and layer, carving out an abstract language where color acts as an atmospheric force.

I love the mist, clouds, and fog that make our Washington sky so beautiful.
