Various Disciplines

It has been our gallery’s ongoing purpose, mission, and philosophy to mix “various disciplines” in artistic expression: collaborations between contemporary abstract artists’ works, vintage to ancient, intermingled with curated cultural artifacts and objects of art.

Our featured abstract artist Heather Adamek will continue through August, as will resin artist Sumedamaa Kothari with her premiere collection of resin handbags and a surprise in the works! As our format dictates, we will have samplings of works from our stable of artists.

Heather’s works are focused on her desire to use color and shapes to recreate her experiences. Working intuitively, layering oils, charcoal, and pastels to express her stories representing the beauty of moments in life. Bringing visual articulation onto each canvas, she finds the right “words” to create configurations that cannot always be expressed verbally—a translation of experiences.

Introducing new works to our August First Friday ArtWalk opening night will be Reeve Washburn. Reeve is a lifelong creator, first as a graphic designer, then strategic brand design manager and architect. A Manhattan transplant to Seattle, she has turned her focus to painting. Her acrylics are hand‑printed collages on cradled panels or on canvas sheets—earthy, warm, abstract, and very on trend as Reminiscent of works from the mid‑century modern era.
