Kari Westphal is an encaustic artist whose work blends vibrant color, rich texture, and a profound sense of depth. Using layers of heated beeswax, pigment, and occasionally incorporating found elements, Kari creates evocative pieces that invite viewers into a tactile, luminous and peaceful world. Her art frequently explores themes of nature, memory, and the interplay of light, resulting in organic, ethereal compositions that are both ancient in technique and strikingly contemporary in their visual impact.

Kari’s training includes a BA in Studio Art, and a Masters in Art Education. She started showing her work in Art Galleries while in Graduate School, but has since opted for the one-on-one connections that self-representation and pairing with Museums, Art Centers & independent businesses allow.
