Barrels Wine Bar
Linda Lander
Through my lens, I aim to capture moments that feel both intimate and expansive—scenes that remind us of the quiet grandeur that surrounds us yet often goes unnoticed. Light, color, and movement tell stories that words cannot. A fleeting shadow over a canyon wall, the electric stillness before a storm, or the gaze of an animal in its element—these are the moments that pull me in. My work is an invitation, a way to bring others into these spaces, to see with fresh eyes and feel the deep connection between ourselves and the natural world. Each photograph is both a reflection and an exploration. I chase beauty not for its own sake, but for the way it stirs something within us—awe, nostalgia, reverence. In a world that moves fast, my images ask us to pause, to notice, and to remember that we are part of something vast and alive. Some argue over digital processing and the use of AI. I use my camera like a painter would use his brush. I don’t add anything that wasn’t there in the scene but work with shadows, highlights, & luminosity making the mountains stand taller, the foreground richer. If I desire to have focus from the foreground to the subject far away, I take several shots and blend them, layering the shots until it looks just as the eye would see it. I live in the Pacific Northwest. My prints are made by a professional lab in the Midwest.

Enjoy a wine flight, a charcuterie plate, local artwork, or a bottle with friends or loved ones in a cozy, unpretentious setting. We have live music, tasting events with guest winemakers, and a friendly staff. We bring Wine Country to the Island!
